Car accident claims lives, leaves 1 critical

Recovering from a traumatic event can take time. If a person is seriously injured in a car accident or loses a loved one in a crash, gaining some semblance of normalcy after such an event can seem impossible at first. Though many people can find ways to move on in these circumstances, it can have life-altering effects.

Multiple parties may be working through their physical and emotional difficulties after a recent crash in Maryland. According to reports, the incident involved one vehicle that was carrying three people. The car apparently left the roadway and collided with a tree that was in the median. At the time of the report, it was unclear what may have caused the accident, but speed was being considered a factor.

The 27-year-old driver and a 26-year-old passenger suffered fatal injuries in the accident. A second passenger, who was reported as 25 years old, was considered to be in critical condition and was taken to an area trauma center. The incident was still being investigated, and more information may become available at a later time.

The family of the passenger killed in this crash and the surviving passenger likely all have long roads ahead. They may struggle with various issues for which they had not planned and could feel overwhelmed by their situations. Though the driver involved in this Maryland car accident also died, those affected by the incident could still file legal claims against that driver's estate and any separate owner of the vehicle involved in efforts to seek compensation for allowable damages.
